East Coast Shooting Club held their Target Rifle Open on the 16th of May 2026. It was a bright sunny morning on the range with light winds. A great day for the first Saturday shoot of the season with a good turnout of shooters. The range looked very well thanks to Konrad and the yellow peril mower

We had a short break when we were homeless and for COVID but there are still 40 years of history attached to the trophy the first winner in 1986 was David C of the then Fassaroe Sporting Club. There are many well known and seasoned shooters names on the plinth of the cup with East Coast’s Sandy Wilson winning no less than eight times.
This year’s winner was Patrick Lynch of Dublin University Rifle Club with a score of 578.
Second was Dermot Malone, East Coast Shooting Club, with a score of 573
